CIS is researching and developing solutions using liquid lenses manufactured by Corning🄬Varioptic🄬.
The most important feature of liquid lens is the high speed focus change control.
By taking advantage of focusing speed, we aim to provide innovative solutions for various machine vision applications for logistics, robotics, medical and biological applications.
As a first step, we have created a high-speed, active AF PoC system that can instantly focus on and follow an object that enters the field of view.
This system is particularly effective for bar code reading applications that needs to focus on randomly sized objects moving on a conveyor.
We will continue to propose various innovative solutions such as all-in-focus imaging, depth expansion and passive focus system leveraging liquid lens techology.
